Angelita

Located near Tulum and, like El Pit, it is a sinkhole that reaches a depth of 60 meters.Around 30 meters deep, you'll encounter a surreal cloud of hydrogen sulfide, from which rocks and submerged trees seem to rise. Below this layer, total darkness sets in, and you swim among ancient tree trunks and other organic debris, creating an otherworldly experience.

As you ascend, you'll see massive stalactites hanging from the cenote’s upper rim—a reminder of a time when water levels were much lower. This dive is recommended for experienced divers due to its depth, and the site is also popular for technical diving and freediving.

Cenote Carwash

Also known as Aktun Ha, gets its name from the days when local taxi drivers used the site to wash their cars. Similar to Cenote Eden, it offers two distinct dive sections: one upstream and one downstream, the latter accessible only to certified cavern divers.

The cavern has a unique, almost mystical atmosphere, with tree roots and fallen branches intertwining with massive rock formations. You may even spot some Mayan artifacts scattered throughout the site. In the open area, its crystal-clear waters are home to water lilies, turtles, cichlids, and other freshwater wildlife.

The maximum dive depth at Cenote Carwash is approximately 15 meters.
