Cenote Kukulkan
Cenote Kukulkan is located within Chac Mool Park, just minutes from Puerto Aventuras.
This site is part of a vast cave system with over 9 km of mapped passages and offers convenient amenities like showers, bathrooms, changing rooms, a restaurant, and gear prep areas. The dive begins in a clear pond home to freshwater turtles, leading to a stunning halocline at around 10 meters—where salt and fresh water mix, creating mesmerizing visual effects. The dive continues through a massive overhead cavern filled with breathtaking light beams, making Kukulkan one of the most iconic cenote dives in the Mayan Riviera. Cameras are not allowed, but professional photo services are available for purchase through the park.
Chac Mool
The dive starts just a short walk from the parking area at Little Brother cenote. After passing through a short tunnel, you enter Chac Mool, where stunning light effects and haloclines create an unforgettable experience. With spacious chambers and a maximum depth of 12 meters, it’s an ideal site for a first cenote dive. One highlight is an air dome where you can surface and admire delicate stalactites. For experienced divers, this site also offers access to "El Monstruo"—the world’s largest known underwater stalactite.
Cameras are not allowed, but professional photo services are available for purchase through the park.
