Tour Description:
Explore El Edén’s clear waters and haloclines, then Tajma Ha’s light-filled caverns and stunning underwater formations.
Cenote El Edén
Also known as Ponderosa, after the cave system it belongs to, El Eden is a stunning cenote nestled in the jungle. This large, open pool reaches a maximum depth of 5 meters and is teeming with life—freshwater fish, shrimp, and lush aquatic plants make it a vibrant dive site.
This Cenote dazzles with crystal-clear waters, stunning haloclines, and beautiful light rays that create a magical underwater atmosphere for divers and snorkelers alike.
Perfect for cavern diving, the dive starts beneath a wide karst window and follows a guideline through spacious passages. You'll experience breathtaking haloclines and dramatic light effects as you make your way to the nearby Coral Garden cenote.
Cenote Tajma Ha
This cenote features striking light beams, haloclines, and intricate passages. A favorite for cavern divers seeking visual beauty and unique underwater effects. It is renowned for its ever-changing light effects, which vary by season. In the chamber known as "Points of Light," sunlight streams through multiple openings in the ceiling, creating a stunning visual display.
At the start of the dive, you'll enter a large chamber with an air pocket near the ceiling, where bats can often be seen flying in and out through small holes. Deeper in the cave, you'll encounter hundreds of stalactites resting in the sediment.
The second part of the dive leads to another cenote known as the Sugar Bowl.
